Rich Swayze is currently the Assistant Administrator for Policy, International Affairs, and Environment at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Prior to FAA, Rich Swayze was the Professional Staff Member for the Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation where he handled FAA issues, and aviation issues related to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Before joining the Senate, Mr. Swayze worked for the Government Accountability Office (GAO) leading transportation research projects.
Mr. Swayze earned a B.A. in Political Science from Cortland College, a Masters in Public Administration from Binghamton University, and Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
