Inspection Authorization Renewal
Applications for renewal must be postmarked by March 31 of each odd-numbered year and include the following items:
- FAA Form 8610-1, Mechanic’s Application for Inspection Authorization
- Pilot’s Bill of Rights for FAA Form 8610-1 (PDF)
- Inspection Authorization Card, FAA Form 8310-5
- Proof of successfully completing a refresher course (if basing your eligibility on such a course)
Completing the 8610-1 certifies the applicant met the requirements of 14 CFR 65.93. Failure to complete these forms and return a complete package will result in the application being returned to the applicant without action and may prevent renewal of Inspection Authorization.
