The Civil Rights Complaint Services Staff represents, assists, and advises the Assistant Administrator for Civil Rights on civil rights and equal employment opportunity matters pertaining to EEO complaints. They also assist and advise other managers and employees on civil rights and equal employment opportunity matters pertaining to EEO complaints. They handle internal complaints for employees on issues of discrimination. Training is conducted for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counselors and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mediators. In addition, the staff manages the National Intake Unit, National Tracking System, and National Implementation of laws, regulations, policies, etc., for the Office of Civil Rights.
Each of these elements the staff manage have a specific purpose:
- The National Intake Unit is the main entry point into the EEO Pre-Complaint process.
- The National Tracking System is used to control and track all EEO Complaints.
The National Implementation of laws, regulations, policies, etc. ensures all are performed uniformly and consistently throughout the Office of Civil Rights and the FAA. Also, the staff writes policy as necessary which is implemented nationwide.
