The Office of Civil Rights is proactive in preventing discrimination by providing training opportunities to airport sponsors in the following areas of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE/ACDBE) program, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Limited English Proficiency (LEP), Environmental Justice (EJ), American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other civil rights policies and regulations.

Sixth National Civil Rights Conference for Airports
The FAA's Office of Civil Rights is offering its Sixth National Civil Rights Training Conference, August 11-12, 2015, to provide additional training to airport grant recipients, their representatives, small businesses, and other stakeholders.
The training conference will include all aspects of civil rights and nondiscrimination compliance affecting airports around the country. The breakout sessions will cover in-depth training in each of the external program disciplines, including:
- Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE/ACDBE)
- Airport Disability Compliance Program (ADA/Section 504)
- Airport Nondiscrimination Compliance Program (Title VI/LEP/EJ)
The conference will include speakers from FAA, Department of Transportation, other government agencies, trade associations, DBE/ACDBEs, consultants, and stakeholders. Also, we will provide the latest legal, regulatory, and program updates.

Phoenix Park Hotel
The Phoenix Park Hotel is holding hotel accommodations for the Federal Aviation Administration from August 10-13, 2015. As a conference attendee, you may now book hotel accommodations by calling toll-free 877-237-2082 and identifying yourself with Group Code 19943 or "Sixth Annual FAA Civil Rights Training for Airports." Also, you may book your reservation directly through online reservation.
When you reserve your hotel room, you must provide information for a major credit card. The deadline date to make a reservation is Friday, July 17, 2015. If the hotel receives your reservation request after this deadline date, your request will be subject to availability and the prevailing rate. The hotel's individual cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to date of arrival to avoid one night's room plus tax charge to your credit card. If you cancel your hotel reservation, please obtain a cancellation number.
Washington Court Hotel
The Washington Court Hotel is holding hotel accommodations for the Federal Aviation Administration from August 10-13, 2015. You must individually make your reservation through the Hotel's Reservations Department by calling 800-321-3010 by Sunday, July 12, 2015.
The Hotel requires deposits to guarantee all reservations. The deposit is to be equal to one night's stay. Personal checks, money orders, master account billing, or credit cards with expiration dates are acceptable. The Hotel will refund room deposits for individual room cancellations if notice is received 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date. If you cancel or change your reservation by phone, you will receive a code number as confirmation of the notice.
