Through its oversight role, the Accountability Board ensures that allegations of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and other types of harassment or misconduct that create an intimidating, hostile or offensive workplace based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, and reprisal, that are reported to management are handled in a timely, impartial, and uniform manner.
We are professionals and must abide by the highest standards required by our mission to provide for the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world. As professionals in the workplace, we are accountable for our actions. The Accountability Board was established in 1998 to ensure that each of us lives to that standard.
I strongly support and am fully committed to the mission and goals of the Accountability Board and expect the same from everyone at the FAA. As professionals, together with the Accountability Board, we can ensure a workplace free of harassment and other types of offensive behavior.
