Program Description
Voice over IP Communications Enterprise (VoICE)
The VoICE Communications System (VCS) Program will replace aging voice switching core infrastructure in En Route, Terminal, and Tower air traffic control facilities. This infrastructure includes nearly 800 legacy switches deployed across the National Airspace System (NAS), some of which are up to 30 years old. The new infrastructure will modernize equipment and software, as well as transition from analog switches and circuits to a digital, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) enabled, networked voice communication system

- Create a network-based, communications, enterprise supporting Tower, TRACON, and En Route operations
