Program Description
Live Flight Test (LiFT) 2019
In November of 2019, the FAA William J Hughes Technical Center's Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) Integrated Test Environment (TITE) launched a battery of Live Flight Tests (LiFT) around the arrival and departure legs of a B777. The aircraft flew from Seattle, Washington to Frankfurt, Germany, and back, with a stopover at Atlantic City International Airport. The FAA Technical Center deployed two test cases during the inbound leg to KACY from Germany, and four during the outbound leg from KACY to Seattle. The test cases herein were aimed at demonstrating the capabilities and benefits of TBO.

Key Capabilities
- The Space Data Integrator (SDI), developed by AST, will provide Air Traffic Control (ATC) with the means to track launch and reentry operations with respect to the impact those operations have on commercial air traffic
- Licensing and regulation of spaceports within the NAS
