The availability of Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS)-capable approach procedures is a significant enabler of WAAS benefits in the United States. This page provides the latest status of these U.S. WAAS approach procedures.


What's new?

As of August 18, 2016, there are 3,710 Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Localizer Performance with Vertical guidance (LPV) approach procedures serving 1806 airports. 1055 of these airports are Non-ILS airports.

Currently, there are also 613 Localizer Performance (LP) approach procedures in the U.S. serving 457 airports.

Publication Dates for New Procedures

New procedures are published for use in the National Airspace System (NAS) every 56 days through the Terminal Procedures Publication (TPP) process. However, procedures can also be published during the interim months through the Operations Change Notice (OCN) process. Corresponding dates for 2016 are:
