Safety Liaison Team

The Safety Liaison Team is responsible for the aviation safety activities in a complex and dynamic aviation environment. The Safety Liaison Team Members are responsible and accountable for the SPPO work at the field level.  Team Members provide guidance and policy to the Division Managers, Office Managers and FAASTeam Program Managers (FPMs) on major changes in aviation safety.

Serves as the Safety Liaison to the Division Managers, Office Managers and FPMs for discussions regarding the status of the SPPO work program and projects, including the planning and coordinating of such activities. Other internal contacts may include Office of Public Affairs, Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Office of Runway Safety, NextGen Office, UAS Office, etc.  External contacts may include General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC), National Business Aviation Association (NBAA),  Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association (AOPA), General Aviation Manufacturing Association (GAMA), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), etc.
