Kasandra R. Styles

Kasandra Robinson Styles is the Acting Chief Diversity kasandra styles headshotOfficer for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) Office of Civil Rights (ACR). In this role, Kasandra serves as the principal advisor to the Assistant Administrator for Civil Rights and the FAA Administrator to managing diversity and issues relating to organizational culture and design. She manages and directs all facets of a comprehensive diversity program to include supporting the Administration's priorities in advancing diversity and equity in the workplace. She develops approaches to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated into and contributes to the FAA's overall mission and strategic goals and serves as the agency's recognized expert on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

In May 2022, Kasandra began her tenure with the FAA as the Director of National Policy, Compliance and Outreach for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of Civil Rights. In this role, Kasandra directed national policy and compliance in for ACR and was responsible for the effective administrative management and implementation of the agency's comprehensive EEO and DEIA program nationwide. She provided direct supervision to the national policy and compliance staff. She served as an outreach and training consultant on civil rights, EEO and DEIA, assuring full implementation of core regulations, principles, functions, and procedures.

Kasandra began federal service in August 2000 as an Attorney with the Federal Election Commission.  She subsequently held appointments as an Attorney with the Office of Special Counsel and the Merit Systems Protection Board.  She was later promoted to an Administrative Judge position with the Board’s Central Regional Office and later transferred to the Board’s Washington Regional Office in Arlington, Virginia. Kasandra was also a Certified Mediator with the Board’s Mediation Appeals Program, and for over four years, she served as the President of the Board’s Professional Association, a union of Attorneys and Administrative Judges. 

Kasandra graduated from the University of Maryland-University College in College Park, Maryland in December 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology. She graduated cum laude from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC in May 2000. She also has certificates from the National Judicial College in Dispute Resolution Skills and Administrative Law Adjudication Skills and a certificate on Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of Southern Florida. 

In her spare time, Kasandra serves in various community based and leadership organizations. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the Junior League of Prince George’s County, Maryland from 2021-2023. She resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland with her husband and son.
