BOHEMIAN GROVE EVENT PROCEDURES

For the periods 07/14/22 – 07/17/22, 07/21/22 – 07/24/22, 07/28/22 – 07/31/22; A higher than normal volume of traffic is expected to arrive and depart wine country airports. During this special event aircraft should expect the following:

STS airport will be CLOSED via NOTAM for the duration of each weekend event to all GA Non-Scheduled flights and all transient aircraft without a PPR.

Required Arrival/departure routings

No practice approaches to the following airports: APC, DVO, O69, STS, UKI

Expect an increase of High Performance and Business Jet traffic at the following airports: APC, DVO and STS

Aircraft may expect Traffic Management Initiatives for APC and STS

Aircraft should exercise caution in the vicinity of SGD VOR and in the vicinity of San Pablo Bay

Aircraft can expect increased frequency congestion on Oakland Center Frequencies 125.85 and 127.8

Delays may be expected for arriving and departing traffic as well as aircraft requesting flight following

STS PARKING PROGRAM (PPR)

A prior permission required (PPR) program is being implemented for 3 consecutive weekends in July 2022: July 14-17, July 21-24, and July 27-31. The PPR program is being utilized to accommodate the increased demand for airport parking and services ahead of the 2022 Bohemian Grove event.

Aircraft operators not permanently based at STS will obtain a PPR number from the FBO (contact Kaiser Air (707) 528-7400 or Sonoma Jet Center (707) 523-2800) for each landing on these designated days and times to have full operational use of the airports runway, taxiway, apron, facilities, and services. PPR approval and confirmation numbers can be obtained from the FBO of intended landing.

PPR confirmation numbers have to be entered in the remarks sections of each flight plan.
