<abbr>SWIM</abbr> Connect 2015
<abbr>SWIM</abbr> is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

SWIM Terminal Data Distribution System (STDDS)

Collects data associated with aircraft movement on the surface as well as runway conditions. Allows data on surface movement, tower departure events, airport data and in the future, sharable terminal automation information.

Other resources to learn more:
SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

SWIM Flight Data Publication Service (SFDPS)

Publishes En Route and related flight data in XML format, from multiple ATC centers at the same time. Available in international standard data formats and customizable to fit user requirements.

Other resources to learn more:
SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS)

Supports decisions related to planning and mitigating imbalances between demand and capacity in the NAS. Increases efficiency by integrating data between TFMS and programs monitoring weather and other conditions.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Time Based Flow management (TBFM)

Creates a schedule for aircraft arrivals and departures, thereby optimizing the flow of aircraft into busy airspace. TBFM uses SWIM to make scheduling information accessible to aviation partners.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Integrated Terminal Weather Service (ITWS)

Publishes XML data (weather data products available to TRACONs and Tower Controllers) using SWIM compliant JMS Publish/Subscribe capabilities.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Federal Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) System (FNS)

Collects, disseminates, and stores information improving the ability of airlines, Air Traffic Control, and general aviation pilots to receive notices that are relevant to their needs.

SWIM Connect 2015
SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

SWIM Program Office

Manages the FAA program that enables members of the Aviation community to access the information needed to facilitate an innovative and efficiently run NAS.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Accessing SWIM Data

Supports connecting to SWIM ("on-ramping"). Interested in connecting? Start by sending an email to Enterprise Engineering Services at Data-To-Industry@faa.gov.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

NAS Service Registry Repository (NSRR) 2.0

Supports SOA Service discovery, SWIM governance processes, and integration between FAA and EUROCONTROL.

SWIM Connect 2015
SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Common Support Service - Weather (CSS-Wx)

Produces and delivers FAA's single source of aviation weather information. CSS-Wx will help controllers and operators develop flight plans, make better decisions, and improve on-time performance.

SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

NAS Common Reference (NCR)

Will offer enterprise-level, cross-domain status information exchange in the same reference models to NAS and non-NAS consumers to support common situational awareness.

Other resources to learn more:
SWIM is the Digital Data-Sharing backbone of NextGen.

Aeronautical Information management Modernization (AIMM)

Modernizes collection, management, maintenance, and distribution of aeronautical information.
