ICOF-1 - Zenit-3SL

A Sea Launch Zenit-3SL rocket was launched on March 12, 2000 at 9:49 am, EST, carrying the International Communications Organization (ICO) F-1 mobile communications satellite, which was intended for medium earth orbit. At about 467 seconds after liftoff, during second stage operation, the Zenit-3SL rocket experienced an anomaly and the rocket's flight safety system activated to abort the flight. The second and third stages and payload impacted into the Pacific Ocean, with pre-established impact limit lines.
