HISPASAT-1C - Atlas IIAS

A Lockheed Martin Atlas 2AS successfully launched HISPASAT-1C at 6:30 p.m. EST (2310 GMT) on Feb 3, 2000. The launch was from Cape Canaveral Air Station's pad 36B. The satellite, HISPASAT 1C, is the third satellite for HISPASAT, S.A., a Spanish satellite communications provider for Europe and the Americas. The satellite will be located in geostationary orbit at 30 degrees West longitude. The launch was the second mission of an Atlas this year. The Atlas IIAS is 100% successful (19 of 19 flights).
