GOES O - Delta IV

GOES O (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite) is part of the family of environmental satellites built by The Boeing Company for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). GOES O will provide weather pictures used by television newscasts and GOES imaging and sounding instruments provide scans for small-scale area viewing in visible and infrasred spectrum regions which assist meteorologists to provide improved short-term forecasts. GOES data is also used for measuring changes in atmospheric temperature and weather monitoring.
