Intelsat 14 - Atlas V

Intelsat 14 will provide fixed satellite services for Intelsat, the world's largest satellite services operator. Specifically, Intelsat 14, built by Space Systems/Loral (SS/L), will provide telecommunications services over the Atlantic Ocean region (the Americas, Europe and Africa). It will include the Internet Router In Space (IRIS) a piggyback payload designed to assess the utility of a space-based computer processor that will enable communications between U.S. military and allied forces. Intelsat 14 is the forty-fourth satellite built by SS/L for Intelsat.
