From flying, to engineering, to air traffic control and airport operations – aviation has it all!
At Saint Francis University's Inaugural Aviation Career Education (ACE) Academy, students explored the aviation industry. From the front seat – Students slipped the surly bonds of earth upon the wings of a Piper Warrior. From the chair of an airport manager – Students learned about day-to-day operations at the John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport. At the desk of an engineer – Students built their own aircraft!
While flying was the high point of the week, students had a chance to explore the many components of the world of aviation in new ways, building a foundation to chart a new course in the aviation industry.
