The National Flight Academy (NFA) in Pensacola, Florida partners with Women in Aviation International to host several events celebrating girls in aviation. In April the NFA hosted a Girls In Aviation Day (GIAD) STEM Saturday, a one-day program, highlighting jets in flight. Students created physical and conceptual models for aircraft in flight and learned the science behind the engineering. The day concluded with a guest speaker and graduation ceremony.

For students interested in an overnight program, the NFA is hosting a Girls in Aviation six-day Deployment August 11 - August 16, 2019. The six-day deployment is geared towards middle and high schools students with an interest in the aviation/aerospace industry. Throughout the week, students will meet girls from around the U.S. and have the opportunity to interact with special guest speakers including female pilots, aircraft maintenance professionals and more. The registration deadline is July 7, visit http://bit.ly/2F3RawI to register!
