FAA Offers Another Method to View Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting VideoMarch 6–The FAA is making its Introduction to Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) DVD available online to make it easier for ARFF personnel and first responders to view the video using their computer and other smart technology devices. The online ARFF video features an introduction and 11 segments on various ARFF-related topics.

The DVD and online video contain information on Programs for Training of Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Personnel (Part 139 Airport Certification of the federal regulations, FAA Advisory Circular 150/5210-17) and reference materials for firefighting. The video is an overview for ARFF personnel at more than 500 Part 139 certificated airports in the U.S.  Airport officials in 20 countries have requested a copy to include it in their ARFF programs.

In 2010, the ARFF video was nominated and received a Telly Award in the category for film and video productions created for non-broadcast purposes such as employee training or product-specific instructional videos. The video received the highest honor, the Silver Telly statuette. For more than 25 years, the Telly Awards have been sponsored and judged by professionals in the advertising, audio, broadcast, cable, film, production, and video arena.
