The Joint Analysis Team (JAT) – a group of FAA and industry experts operating under the NextGen Advisory Committee – examines performance impacts and benefits that can be attributed to the implementation of NextGen capabilities. The JATs operational and analytical experts evaluate data, metrics, methods, and tools typically used in benefits analysis with the goal of reaching a common statement of fact. Recent JAT reports are listed below evaluating NextGen implementations at locations across the NAS.
June 2016 The JAT performed the evaluation of Wake Recategorization implementations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), O'Hare International Airport (ORD), and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW).
February 2017 The JAT performed an evaluation of Wake Recategorization implementations at Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and a fuel analysis for the North Texas Metroplex.
October 2016 The JAT analyzed and evaluated the Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Metroplex Implementation in North Texas and the PBN Established on RNP (EoR) at Denver International Airport (DEN).
October 2017 This report includes findings on Optimal Profile Descent (OPD) implementations at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Gary/Chicago International Airport (GYY), as well as impacts of implementation of Data Communications.
