This advisory circular (AC) defines the term Critical Aircraft and provides guidance on the use of Critical Aircraft in facility planning and design studies, and related FAA decision making, for federally obligated airports.

This AC provides guidelines to develop and implement a sound insulation program (SIP).

Announces the availability of the Guide for Private Flyers published by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The Guide lists all U.S. international airports, designated airports, landing rights airports, and user fee airports.

Provides recommended minimum performance standards for airport surface movement sensors and specifies both sensor and system characteristics that provide guidance to airport systems designers, manufacturers, installers, and users of the equipment.
