Critical Aircraft and Regular Use Determination
This advisory circular (AC) defines the term Critical Aircraft and provides guidance on the use of Critical Aircraft in facility planning and design studies, and related FAA decision making, for federally obligated airports. It also defines the term "Regular Use", which replaces the term "Substantial Use" that was used in previous definitions of Critical Aircraft. This AC does not establish project justification for Federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding.

Land Acquisition and Relocation Assistance for Airport Improvement Program Assisted Projects (Consolidated through Change 7)
Provides guidance to sponsors of airport projects developed under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to meet the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (PL 91-646, as amended) and the Regulations of the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, 49 CFR Part 24. Guidance on the Extraction of Oil and Gas on Federally Obligated Airports
This AC discusses oil and gas development on federally obligated airport land, including any drilling that penetrates the subsurface of airport owned land. It describes how existing FAA policy, guidance, standards and obligations, as well as other applicable laws and regulations, apply to proposed oil and gas extraction from obligated airports (both use of surface land and extraction of subsurface minerals/oil/gas). It does not create new requirements for on-airport or nearby off-airport land use or development. The AC was produced as a joint effort by the FAA’s Offices of Airport Planning and Programming, Airport Safety and Standards, and Airport Compliance and Management Analysis.
A Model Zoning Ordinance to Limit Height of Objects Around Airports
Provides a model zoning ordinance to be used as a guide to control the height of objects around airports. Editorially updated.
Airport Terminal Planning
This AC provides information on the process of planning airport passenger terminal facilities. It combines and supersedes two previous FAA ACs on this topic: AC 150-5360-13, Planning and Design Guidelines for Airport Terminal Facilities, and AC 150/5360-9, Planning and Design Guidelines for Airport Terminal Facilities at Non-hub Locations.
This AC does not create new requirements for airport terminal planning. Rather, it consolidates information from two separate ACs and includes updated information on terminal planning.

It explains the need for preservation of evidence and details operational actions which may be permitted if performed in the interest of preserving life.

This AC prescribes procedures used to describe, format, and disseminate information on unanticipated or temporary changes to components of, or hazards in, the National Airspace System (NAS).

Airport Field Condition Assessments and Winter Operations Safety
This AC provides guidance to assist airport operators in developing a snow and ice control plan, assessing and reporting airport conditions through the utilization of the Runway Condition Assessment Matrix (RCAM), and establishing snow removal and control procedures. Consolidated version includes Change 1.
For implementation purposes, all certificated airports must submit revised Snow and Ice Control Plans to the FAA no later than September 1, 2016, for approval. The Federal NOTAM System is the primary means of conveying airport condition information by certificated and federally obligated airports. Effective October 1, 2016, the Federal NOTAM System will incorporate the new reporting criteria and methodology contained in this AC.
