Wrong Surface landings are occurring at an alarming rate across the NAS. Three of the causal factors of wrong surface landings are airfield geometry, communications and expectation bias. This video addresses each of these factors and provides general aviation pilots with best practices they can use to minimize risk. By increasing awareness, we can reduce the likelihood of wrong surface landings and keep the NAS the safest aviation system in the world.
