Each year, the FAA Academy,

located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center

in OKC, Oklahoma,

realizes 40,000 course completions

representing 6800 unique course offerings.

The Regulatory Standards Training Division

provides quality training for

aircraft certification engineers,

aviation safety inspectors,

test pilots,

and other aviation related fields who work together

to set and maintain the highest standard of aircraft

and flight safety in the world.

We hire industry professionals

with decades of validated experience.

Through a customized approach,

we are able to offer training solutions to numerous

specialties in the aviation safety industry.

We train FAA employees,

civilian aviation industry professionals

from other US agencies,

and representatives from civil aviation authorities

around the world.

We utilize high-fidelity aircraft flight simulators and

replicate live safety information systems that are

employed in risk based decision-making

We provide oversight to ensure that our trainees maintain

the highest level of safety at all times.

The Air Traffic Training Division

stands ready to meet the challenges of new or

different training requirements that consistently arise

from the ever-evolving world of air traffic.

FAA Air Traffic Controllers operate the safest,

most efficient, airspace in the world.

There are over 15 Million flights handled a year

and 5,000 aircraft in the air during peak time periods.

The Air Traffic Training Division is committed to train

tomorrow's air traffic controllers today;

from the initial stages of training to the specialized

training options required to maintain the National Airspace

System, or NAS.

Every year we train around 1500

new hire Air Traffic Controller trainees

from a wide range of backgrounds.

Air Traffic training has to be fast paced

and highly technical,

with challenging courseware and performance assessments

in order to protect the safety of the flying public.

The Technical Operations Training Division

is the FAA's provider of choice for almost

7000 engineers, programmers, environmental technicians,

and systems specialists.

Our training includes theory of operation, maintenance,

repair, and troubleshooting techniques

on over 150 National Airspace Systems

ranging from radars to radio communication.

We also provide new hire orientation and training for

Airways Transportation System Specialists that includes

FAA familiarization and equipment training.

This program is designed to accelerate

initial certification and provide mission ready employees.

The National Airspace System Technical Services Division's

primary mission is to provide engineering and technical

support for the FAA Academy's training environments.

Our NAS Technical Services supports the largest

single-site concentration of NAS equipment in the world.

Our ability to maintain and integrate generations of

NAS systems spanning from the 1960's to current cutting edge

NEXTGen technologies, allows the FAA Academy

to continue to meet the agency's training requirements.

The Training Services Support Division

is at the core of the FAA Academy, providing

integration support with a corporate services model.

Our Training Services Support personnel touch every aspect

of the Academy's day-to-day operations by providing

information through the Student Services office,

budgetary oversight, or

training the FAA instructional workforce.

We work hard to maintain the Academy's trademark of

delivering content through innovative and cost saving

technologies such as a dedicated training network

or virtual training studios.

Whatever the challenge,

our Training Services Support personnel

stand ready to accomplish the mission.

The FAA has a long history of commitment

to improving worldwide aviation safety.

The FAA Academy International Training Division

continues that tradition by

providing quality training and related services to

a global aviation community.

With the capability to design, develop,

and deliver unique training products tailored to meet

specifically defined needs of our clients,

courses are based on ICAO standards as well as

country specific requirements.

Past and present customers

include civil aviation officials from over 172 countries.

In addition to serving the FAA Lines of Business,

the Academy has earned the trust

of other government agencies.

The FAA Academy is the only learning institution

that provides technical and operator training to

Customs and Border Protection or CBP,

on legacy and newly acquired surveillance equipment

used on the border to keep our nation safe.

The Academy provides CBP, a full spectrum of training

services as well as expert consultation in developing

governmental policies and procedures as they relate

to training, maintenance, and

operation of highly advanced equipment.

The Academy's support is helping ensure CBP is equipped

with a well-trained, highly effective workforce.
