a. 5­2­12. NAVY FLEET SUPPORT MISSIONS

Paragraph 5­2­12, Navy Fleet Support Missions contains outdated and obsolete information, as determined by the U.S. Navy. Therefore, Paragraph 5­2­12 is deleted.

b. 5­2­13. COUNTRIES IN THE SPECIAL INTEREST FLIGHT PROGRAM

Paragraph 5­2­13, Countries in the Special Interest Flight Program, contains information that is not applicable to Flight Service. Therefore, Paragraph 5­2­13 is removed.

c. 5­2­16. EMERGENCY SECURITY CONTROL OF AIR TRAFFIC (ESCAT)

This change to 7110.10 Flight Services, Paragraph 5­2­16, Emergency Security Control of Air Traffic (ESCAT), changes the reference from “The ESCAT Plan” to “32 CFR 245 Emergency Security Control of Air Traffic (ESCAT).” Control of NAVAIDS are no longer outlined in ESCAT and is removed. The Domestic Events Network (DEN) air traffic security coordinator (ATSC) is added as a point of coordination during ESCAT implementation.

d. Entire Publication

Additional editorial/format changes were made where necessary. Revision bars were not used because of the insignificant nature of these changes.
