TPA ASR-9 OUTAGE AND WEATHER DATA LOSS

TAMPA APPROACH PARTIAL WEATHER DATA LOSS

OCTOBER 13–DECEMBER 15, 2026

The TPA Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-9) will be out of service from October 13 through December 15, 2026.

1. Surveillance feeds from surrounding airport surveillance radars (ASRs), air route surveillance radars (ARSRs), and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) should allow Tampa Approach Control to provide normal air traffic services.
2. The shaded area in each graphic depicts the northern portion of the TPA Approach Control airspace where Tampa Approach will not have weather data available.
