LZU ASR-9 OUTAGE AND WEATHER DATA LOSS
ATLANTA APPROACH PARTIAL WEATHER DATA LOSS
OCTOBER 6-DECEMBER 10, 2026
The LZU Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-9) will be out of service from October 6 through December 10, 2026.
- Surveillance feeds from surrounding airport surveillance radars (ASRs), air route surveillance radars (ARSRs), and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) should allow Atlanta Approach Control to provide normal air traffic services.
- Aircraft not equipped with ADS-B Out that operate east of AHN below 4,000 feet MSL may receive limited or no radar services.
- The shaded area in each graphic depicts the portion of the eastern half of AHN airspace where Atlanta Approach Control will not have weather data available.
