Hawthorne Tower is authorized to separate HHR Runway 25 departures and LAX arrivals to runway 24L/R and 25L/R visually when weather conditions allow the use of visual separation. IFR departures off Runway 25 at HHR are required to turn left immediately after departure and will be assigned the IFR Obstacle Departure Procedure (ODP) or other equivalent Departure Procedure to include Radar Vectors that ensure the departure course diverges immediately after departure by 30 degrees or more from the LAX final approach course.
When weather conditions preclude the use of visual separation, LAX tower, HHR tower, and SoCal TRACON are authorized to conduct simultaneous runway operations between aircraft departing HHR runway 25 departures and aircraft on the final approach course to runways 24L/R and 25L/R at LAX. IFR departures off Runway 25 at HHR are required to turn left immediately after departure and be assigned the ODP or other equivalent Departure Procedure to include Radar Vectors that ensure the departure course diverges immediately after departure by 30 degrees or more from the LAX final approach course.
