VNY PATTERN TRAFFIC

Aircraft operating in the VNY traffic pattern should exercise increased vigilance to maintain the published traffic pattern altitude.

Aircraft inbound to BUR overfly VNY in close proximity to VNY traffic and may receive a TCAS RA if VNY aircraft operate above the published traffic pattern altitude. A TCAS RA may result in the BUR arrival executing a go-around or missed approach.

VNY traffic should use caution for wake turbulence from BUR arrivals overflying the airport.
