LZU ASR-9 OUTAGE AND WEATHER DATA LOSS

ATLANTA APPROACH PARTIAL WEATHER DATA LOSS

OCTOBER 6-DECEMBER 10, 2026

The LZU Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-9) will be out of service from October 6 through December 10, 2026.

1. Surveillance feeds from surrounding airport surveillance radars (ASRs), air route surveillance radars (ARSRs), and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) should allow Atlanta Approach Control to provide normal air traffic services.
2. Aircraft not equipped with ADS-B Out that operate east of AHN below 4,000 feet MSL may receive limited or no radar services.
3. The shaded area in each graphic depicts the portion of the eastern half of AHN airspace where Atlanta Approach Control will not have weather data available.
