Republican national convention

In anticipation of a large number of aircraft operating in and out of the MKE airport, the following procedures will be used to enhance safety and minimize air traffic delays. These procedures will be in effect for the duration of the dates listed above and should be used by any aircraft parking at the listed FBOs.

Parking at AVFlight (136.525) or Signature north (131.0)

The non-movement area (depicted in red) will work on a one way in one way out flow.

Runways 13/31 and 7L/25R will be closed for departures and arrivals throughout the dates listed above.

Inbound procedures

Inbound aircraft will receive taxi clearance to enter the non-movement (depicted in red) via taxiways “V” and “C”. Use caution in the non-movement area as there is expected to be a large amount of aircraft parked on closed runways and taxiways.

outbound Procedures

Obtain your clearance prior to starting taxi. PDC & CPDLC are available.

Proceed to the orange square sign located on taxiway “F”. Call Ground Control for taxi only when you are number one ready for taxi at this sign. (see graphic) Ground Control will not be able to issue taxi instructions unless aircraft are at this location.

Parking at Jet in (131.2) / South ramp

The “south ramp” will work on a one way in one way out flow. Inbound aircraft are to utilize R3 to enter the ramp and R4 to exit the ramp.

After obtaining your clearance (PDC and CPDLC available), call Ground Control for taxi only when you are number one holding short of R4. (see graphic) Ground Control will not be able to issue taxi instructions unless aircraft are at this location.

temporary flight restriction

Temporary Flight Restrictions will be in effect in and throughout the MKE terminal area. For details, see FDC NOTAM available on the following web site:

tfr.faa.gov

Additional security provisions will be in effect. Aircraft must be prescreened using a TSA approved program to enter the TFR. TSA requires a reservation 24 hours prior to screening. Pilots are encouraged to check Local and FDC NOTAMs frequently to verify they have the most current information.
