ENR 7.6: North Atlantic (NAT) Route Clearance Procedures

1. Introduction

New York ARTCC no longer issues an Oceanic Clearance.

2. Procedures

Aircraft entering and operating within North Atlantic portion of the New York Oceanic FIR (KZWY) must always fly their last assigned route, altitude and Mach number (if assigned), regardless of when they were issued.  Note that a “cleared as filed” instruction does not pertain to level changes filed in the ATC flight plan: explicit ATC clearances are required for climbs or descents.
