Engine Parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA)
A Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) is used for modifications or replacement engine parts that are intended to be installed on a previously type approved engine model. An engine PMA is an approval of an engine part that is a proven equivalent part to the original type approved part, and is an authorization to produce that part for sale.
