Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) is used for modifications or replacement propeller system parts that are intended to be installed on a previously type approved propeller model. A propeller PMA is an approval of a propeller system part that is a proven equivalent part to the original type approved part, and is an authorization to produce that part for sale.
