April Rowe

Acting Deputy Regional Administrator, Southern Region


April RoweApril Rowe began serving as the Acting Deputy Regional Administrator for the FAA Southern Region in June 2025. Previously, she was the Technical Liaison for the Southern Regional Administrator’s Office. In this role, she has been an integral part of coordinating projects and programs that support the horizontal integration mission of the FAA Office of Policy and Strategic Engagement. 

Her contributions span initiatives, such as Greensboro Airport Surveillance Radar Obstructions, Regional Advanced Air Mobility, Performance-Based Navigation Community Workshops, the Nashville Live Community Workshop, Asheville Air Traffic Control Tower/Terminal Radar Approach Control coordination, and Destin, Florida, airspace and safety concerns, among others. 

Over her 27-year career with the FAA, Mrs. Rowe has held a diverse range of positions across multiple lines of business, including Budget and Finance, Program Support Specialist in Engineering Services, Capitalization Analyst for Terminal Programs, Planning Specialist, Lead Planner for National Airspace System Planning and Integration, and Runway Safety Program Manager.  

Her leadership and expertise have earned her multiple awards for her role in control tower commissionings, including those at Atlanta, Islip, and Miami Air Traffic Control Towers. 

Notably, Mrs. Rowe played a key role as a Lead Planner, she worked closely with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on several major construction projects, including the newly commissioned 9L End-Around Taxiway, Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range decommissioning, Concourse T-North Extension, and the development of Taxiway Victor. 

Mrs. Rowe is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University.
