Kevin HubbardKevin Hubbard began serving as the Deputy Regional Administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration Alaskan Region in March 2024. He represents the Regional Administrator’s office on several subjects including collaboration and leadership across multiple lines of business, stakeholder outreach, business plans, and matters regarding aviation safety and efficiency in Alaska.

Mr. Hubbard has worked for the Alaskan Regional Administrator’s office since January 2022, where he most recently served as the Regional Administrator’s Senior Advisor. 

He joined the FAA in 2002 at the Juneau, Alaska, airport as an Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist. In 2005, he transferred to Anchorage TRACON as an ATC specialist, and was promoted to an Operation Supervisor in 2017. His leadership at Anchorage TRACON included many challenges including the Anchorage 7.2 magnitude earthquake in 2018 and leading through the Covid-19 pandemic at one of the busiest cargo airports in the world. 

Mr. Hubbard first came to Alaska in January 2000 as an ATC specialist at Kenai Federal Contract Tower. He started his aviation career with the Oregon Air National Guard in 1992. His military experience includes Air Traffic Control and Air Defense Control at multiple locations, including Tuzla, Bosnia. 

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Key Executive Leadership Certificate from the American University School of Public Affairs. He is also a lifetime member of the American Legion Carl B. Fenton post in Dallas, Oregon.
