Register for a Seminar

A Designee Management System (DMS) account is required to register for seminars.  Those not currently designated a FAA Aviation Medical Examiners (AME) must request and receive prior approval to register.  Make your request to the Aerospace Medical Education Division

If interested in becoming an AME, contact the FAA Regional Office responsible for your locality.  

Seminar Types

Basic

A 4 ½ day seminar focused on preparing physicians to be designated as Aviation Medical Examiners.  Priority is given to applicants submitted by Regional Flight Surgeons.

Refresher

A 2 ½ day seminar consisting of AME specific subjects.  Refresher seminars fulfill the AME recurrent seminar training requirement.

Specialty

Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA)

A 3 ½ day seminar held in conjunction with the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA). Registration must be made through AsMA. Call (703) 739-2240, extension 106/107. A registration fee is charged by AsMA to cover their overhead costs.  Our seminar during the AsMA conference fulfills the AME recurrent training requirement.

Civil Aviation Medical Association (CAMA)

A 3 day seminar sanctioned by the FAA, this seminar is sponsored by the Civil Aviation Medical Association (CAMA).  Registration must be made through CAMA.  Call (770) 487-0100 or visit their website.  A registration fee is charged by CAMA.  The seminar fulfills the AME recurrent training requirement.
