Huntsville International Airport (HSV)

Huntsville International – Carl T Jones Field (HSV) is a medium sized, multi-use airport located between the cities of Huntsville and Decatur, Alabama. It has associated Class Charlie airspace and is in close proximity to restricted airspace. Also located close, just four miles northeast, is the Redstone Army Airfield (HUA) with its own Class Delta airspace. The runway configurations are somewhat similar and many pilots have mistaken HUA for HSV.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)

Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV) is a medium sized multi-use airport located just northwest of Savannah, GA. Being located close to the east coast of Georgia, it is a popular tourist destination and a popular place to fly. When planning a trip to SAV pilots need to pay close attention to the various Restricted and Military Operating Areas. In addition to airspace, when inbound from the south or east, the Hunter Army Air Field (SVN) is located 7 miles southeast.
