This AC provides the specifications for the collection of airport data through field and office methodologies in support of the FAA Surveying – Geographic Information System (GIS) Program. It also explains how to submit data to the FAA, for independent verification and validation. This draft represents a major rewrite; the guidance now conforms to the new FAA enterprise data model and process of maintaining a single authoritative source of aeronautical data.
