Document Title: LODA A115 Bundle, LODA A115, Letter of Deviation Authority for Conducting Flight Training in Experimental Category Aircraft
Summary: 8900.1 CHG A115 incorporates new information into V3 C11 S1 and V3 C18 S3. It revises OpSpecs/MSpecs/LOAs A001, A004, and A005 and LODA A115 to include information and guidance on the application and issuance process for obtaining a Letter of Deviation Authority (LODA) to utilize experimental category aircraft for compensation or hire while providing flight training. N 8900.A117 provides revised guidance for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards District Offices (FSDO) and aviation safety inspectors (ASI) assigned to operators conducting aircraft operations under 14 CFR part 91. This notice amends the A115 template for operators conducting flight training in experimental category aircraft under part 91, § 91.319(h). This is a mandatory change to LODA A115. Advisory Circular (AC) 91-LODA provides guidance and information on obtaining a LODA to utilize experimental category aircraft for compensation or hire while providing flight training.
