Abstract: This study defines and evaluates the size, shape, and mass distribution characteristics of masterbody forms representative of 3-year-old and 6-year-old U.S. children. Based on the author's collective judgment of available data, 98 anthropometric dimensions were selected and used to develop full-scale clay masterbody forms for reproduction in casting stone. The stone models were segmented into 10 primary body components representing the head, neck, upper torso, lower torso, upper arm, lower arm, hand, upper leg, lower leg, and foot. Weight, volume, center of mass, and mass moments of inertia measured on each body segment are presented in this report.
