This advisory circular (AC) provides “best practices” for airborne electronic hardware (AEH) design assurance and, is intended to be complementary information to EUROCAE ED-80, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, RTCA DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, and AC 20-152A, Development Assurance for Airborne Electronic Hardware.

This advisory circular (AC) identifies two reports that provide information in the form of “recommended practices” to increase awareness of human factors and facilitate the identification and resolution of human factors/pilot interface issues during the design and evaluation of avionics.
