Order purpose statement

This order standardizes policies and procedures for conducting research involving human test subjects and promulgates the "Common Rule" Federal policy for the protection of human subjects in research conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This order establishes the FAA Institutional Review Board (IRB).
