Order purpose statement

The Flight Standards Service (FS) Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Program is established and maintained to prevent occupational exposure to pathogens in blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) by FS employees. This program specifies the actions necessary to protect the health and safety of all FS employees and provides the requirements for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective BBP Program.
