Order purpose statement

This order defines the requirements for the development and management of the AIR workforce by assuring the readiness of AIR’s workforce, promoting continuous employee growth and development, as well as maintaining a comprehensive workforce development strategy. This includes developmental curricula for all AIR workforce groups; acquiring, developing, and delivering trainings and other developmental offerings to achieve workforce readiness objectives; and supporting managers across AIR with employee-specific training requirements by sourcing and providing learning infrastructure, tracking, identifying training sources, and other related activities. This order also defines the requirements for centrally managing learning activity across AIR, assessing the readiness of AIR’s workforce, and identifying emerging gaps in workforce readiness.
