Order purpose statement

This order provides the criteria and guidance for developing charted visual flight procedures (CVFPs). A CVFP may be developed where Performance Based Navigation (PBN) instrument approach procedures do not accommodate operational needs. This order contains guidance that is pertinent to 49 U.S. Code § 44721, Aeronautical charts and related products and services.
