Order purpose statement

This is a supplemental notice to Notice N 8900.707 to clarify and revise language to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-approved Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) Approval page for users of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)-Managed Flight Operations Evaluation Board (FOEB) process. For the purposes of this notice and the FAA MMEL Approval page, the use of the term “OEM” also includes type certificate holders (TCH).

This notice contains guidance that is pertinent to Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR):

• Section 91.1115, Inoperable Instruments and Equipment.
