Programs

The Office of Audit and Evaluation (AAE) serves as the FAA focal point for public and employee safety complaints; reports of waste, fraud and abuse; internal FAA rule or policy violations; whistleblower disclosures; and whistleblower retaliation.

Services We Provide

  • FAA Hotline
Provides a single venue for FAA employees, the aviation community, and the public to file their reports.
  • AIR21 Whistleblower Protection Program
Provides a venue for employees of U.S. air carriers, their contractors, and their subcontractors who have faced job discrimination for reporting air carrier safety-related violations.

Offices

  • Whistleblower Ombudsman
We also serve as the FAA’s liaison for the DOT Office of Inspector General (OIG), the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Office of U.S. Special Counsel (OSC) audits and investigations involving FAA organizations and programs. Our mission is to ensure that our responses to these audits and investigations are responsive and thorough. We also oversee the implementation of FAA corrective actions identified as a result of outside audits and investigations.
