FAA Aviation Safety Outreach

Aviation Safety Outreach is intended to provide information and products to the aviation community as it prepares for developing and implementing the expanded Part 5 requirements.

The intent is to provide the public with the following information: 

  • Information on System Safety and Safety Attributes 
  • Information on Safety Management Systems for Part 121, 135 and 91.147 Air Tour Operators
  • Information on FAA Safety Management Systems Voluntary Program for eligible CFR Part service providers. 
  • General information for any service provider, airmen or organization who wants to include system safety or SMS concepts into their daily aviation activities. 

Providing this helpful information will serve the entire aviation community to improve their individual safety performance.
