Gulf Shores International Airport/Jack Edwards Field (JKA)
Gulf Shores International/Jack Edwards Field (JKA) is a small, primarily general aviation airport, located along the Alabama coast just west of the Alabama-Florida state line. It is almost 20 miles west of the Pensacola Naval Air Station, which is home to the United States Navy primary flight training command. Due to a substantial increase in traffic volume, the airport has undergone numerous upgrades including an Air Traffic Control tower, which opened in late 2021. The airport has an associated Class Delta airspace, which is in operation during the hours the tower is open; currently that is 0700- 2100 local time. Check the Chart Supplement for any updates.
